I just had to put this one in here. My dad spent about 40 years working for the Michigan Department of Transportation in Road and Bridge design. This is one of the places he made a point to take me as a kid. Brockway Mountain Drive is a fairly short drive between Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor. The views are stunning and the forests you drive through dense and wild. It is a fun drive, and if you go toward dusk, you may see some of the native wildlife.
